Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning installation to ensure correct assembly and to prevent damage or injury.

Belangrijke opmerking: This crash bar kit is NIET compatible with the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Low model.
Instellen en installeren
Follow these steps carefully for proper installation. It is recommended to have a second person assist during certain stagen.
Vereist gereedschap (niet inbegrepen):
- Momentsleutel
- Socket set (various sizes, typically 10mm, 13mm, 17mm, 19mm)
- Hex key set (Allen keys)
- Schroefdraadborgmiddel (gemiddelde sterkte, bijvoorbeeld Loctite 243)
- Schone vodden
Installatiestappen:
- Motorfiets voorbereiden: Park the motorcycle on a level, stable surface. Secure it using a center stand or appropriate paddock stands to prevent it from tipping over. Ensure the engine and exhaust are cool.
- Identificeer bevestigingspunten: Locate the designated mounting points on the motorcycle frame. These typically involve existing engine mount bolts or frame attachment points. Refer to the diagrams below for visual guidance.
- Verwijder de bestaande bouten (indien nodig): Carefully remove any existing bolts from the identified mounting points. Work on one side of the motorcycle at a time to maintain structural integrity.
- Position the Crash Bar: Hold the crash bar (e.g., left side) in position, aligning its mounting holes with the frame's attachment points.
- Montagemateriaal installeren: Insert the provided bolts, washers, and spacers as indicated in the assembly diagram. Apply a small amount of thread-locking compound to the bolt threads before insertion. Hand-tighten all bolts initially.
- Herhaal dit voor de andere kant: Follow steps 3-5 for the other side of the motorcycle, installing the second crash bar.
- Uitlijnen en aanpassen: Once both crash bars are loosely installed, ensure they are properly aligned and do not interfere with any other motorcycle components (e.g., handlebars, fairings, cables).
- Torque All Fasteners: Using a torque wrench, tighten all mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque values. Refer to your motorcycle's service manual for specific frame bolt torque specifications, or use general torque values for the bolt size if not specified by ZIEGER. Niet te vast aandraaien.
- Eindinspectie: Double-check all fasteners to ensure they are securely tightened. Verify that the crash bars are firmly attached and do not wobble. Start the motorcycle and check for any unusual vibrations or noises.

Gebruik en verzorging
Once installed, the ZIEGER Crash Bars require no special operation. They are designed to provide passive protection to your motorcycle's engine and frame in the event of a tip-over or low-speed slide. While robust, they are not indestructible and are intended to absorb impact energy to minimize damage to the motorcycle itself.
- Regelmatige inspectie: Periodically check the crash bars for any signs of damage, cracks, or deformation, especially after any incident.
- Schoonmaak: Clean the crash bars with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the powder coating.
- Na de impact: If the crash bars have sustained an impact, even a minor one, they should be thoroughly inspected for structural integrity. It is recommended to replace them if any significant damage is observed, as their protective capacity may be compromised.
Onderhoud
To ensure the continued effectiveness and safety of your ZIEGER Crash Bars, perform the following maintenance checks:
- Fastener Check (Every 3,000 km or 3 months): Inspect all mounting bolts for tightness. Re-torque any loose fasteners to the specified values.
- Visual Inspection (Before each ride): Quickly check the crash bars for any visible damage, bends, or corrosion.
- Structural Integrity (Annually or after any incident): Conduct a thorough inspection of the entire crash bar structure for cracks, stress fractures, or significant deformation. If any are found, replacement is recommended.
