4. Instellen en installeren

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Waterdrop scale inhibitor system. It is recommended to install this system on a cold water supply line that feeds a water heater or other appliances you wish to protect.

4.1. Controlelijst vóór installatie

  • Ensure you have all components: 3/4" NPT inlet/outlet connection, replacement cartridge.
  • Gather necessary tools: pipe wrench, Teflon tape, pipe cutter (if modifying existing pipes).

  4. Install the T-Fitting: Connect the 3/4" NPT T-fitting adapter into the cut section of the pipe. Ensure it is securely tightened. The vertical port of the T-fitting should point downwards.

5. Bediening

The Waterdrop scale inhibitor operates passively once installed. A portion of the source water flows through the filter, absorbing food-grade polyphosphates which then circulate throughout your plumbing system to inhibit scale formation.

6. Onderhoud

Regular maintenance, primarily cartridge replacement, is essential to ensure the continued effectiveness of your Waterdrop scale inhibitor system.

6.1. Vervanging van cartridges

Each water cartridge is designed to last for approximately 6 months under regular use. Actual lifespan may vary based on local water quality and usage.
