2. Instellen

Carefully unpack the Elitech MS-4000 from its packaging. Verify that all components are present and undamaged. The standard package includes the MS-4000 manifold unit, charging hoses (red, blue, yellow), temperature clamps, and a performance report.

2.2 Batterij plaatsen en inschakelen

The MS-4000 is powered by a Type-C charging port and has a battery capacity of 20 hours. For initial use or after long storage, ensure the device is charged. If using AA batteries (for models like MS-1000, though MS-4000 uses Type-C charging), install 3 AA batteries into the designated compartment. To power on, press and hold the power button until the screen illuminates.

3.1 General Operation and Touch Screen Interface

The MS-4000 features a 5-inch touch screen for intuitive navigation. The interface displays vacuum, pressure, and temperature data clearly. Use the touch screen to select functions and adjust settings.

3.2 Druk- en temperatuurmeting

Connect the appropriate hoses to the 4-way valve and the HVAC system. The device will display pressure and temperature readings in real-time. The MS-4000 automatically measures superheating and subcooling temperatures for 88 different refrigerants. Frequently used refrigerants can be saved for quick access.

3.3 Vacuümmeting

The MS-4000 includes a micron gauge transmitter for precise vacuum measurements. Connect the vacuum pump and monitor the vacuum levels directly on the screen. The range for vacuum measurement is 0-19000 micron.

3.4 System Leakage Testing with Temperature Compensation

The device allows for precise monitoring of pressure holding and vacuum leakage tests. It features temperature compensation settings to minimize the influence of temperature variations on the accuracy of tightness testing results. Adjust allowable percentage and duration settings as needed.

The MS-4000 can record up to 100,000 points of offline data. This data can be easily exported to a computer via a USB port for further analysis of temperature, pressure, and vacuum values.

3.6 Auto Off Time Settings

The device has an adjustable auto-off feature to conserve battery life. Default auto-off is set to 15 minutes, but options like 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 minutes are selectable.
