5. Opstelling en montage
5.1 Batterij installatie
- Ensure the pruning saw is switched off and the chain brake is engaged.

- Replace the bar cover and hand-tighten the bolt.
5.3 Kettingspanning
The DCMPS520N features bolt lock chain tensioning for reliable bar retention. A wrench is conveniently stored inside the bar cover for this purpose.
- Loosen the bar cover bolt slightly.
- Using the onboard wrench, adjust the tensioning screw until the chain is snug against the guide bar, but can still be pulled freely by hand. There should be no slack on the underside of the bar.
- Tighten the bar cover bolt securely.
- Check tension again after a few cuts, as new chains can stretch.
5.4 Oiling the Chain
This pruning saw features an automatic oiler system to keep the bar and chain lubricated during use. Ensure the oil reservoir is filled before each use.
- Locate the oil reservoir cap (usually on the top or side of the saw body).
- Unscrew the cap and fill the reservoir with appropriate bar and chain oil. Do not overfill.
