1. Belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies

• Boorkop: Houdt de boorpunten stevig vast.

4. Instellen

4.1 Het hulphandvat bevestigen

The auxiliary handle provides better control and stability during operation. It can be rotated 360 degrees for optimal positioning.

1. Maak de hulphendel los door deze tegen de klok in te draaien.
2. Schuif de hendel op de voorkant van de boormachine.
3. Draai de hendel naar de gewenste positie.
4. Draai de hendel met de klok mee vast totdat deze stevig vastzit.

4.2 Boorpunten plaatsen en verwisselen

Always ensure the drill is unplugged from the power source before changing bits.

1. Steek de boorkopsleutel in een van de gaten op de boorkop.
2. Draai de spankopsleutel tegen de klok in om de spankopbekken te openen.
3. Insert the drill bit into the chuck, ensuring it is centered and fully seated.
4. Rotate the chuck key clockwise to tighten the chuck jaws firmly around the drill bit. Ensure the bit is secure to prevent slippage during operation.
5. Remove the chuck key from the chuck before operating the drill.

4.3 De dieptemeter afstellen

De dieptemeter zorgt ervoor dat de boordieptes consistent zijn.

1. Maak de extra handgreep los.
2. Slide the depth gauge through the hole in the auxiliary handle.
3. Adjust the depth gauge to the desired drilling depth, measuring from the tip of the drill bit.
4. Tighten the auxiliary handle to secure the depth gauge in place.

5.1 In-/uitschakelen en snelheidsregeling

The drill features a variable speed trigger and a lock-on button for continuous operation.

• Aan/uit-schakelaar: Press the trigger to start the drill. Release to stop.
• Variabele snelheid: The speed is controlled by how much you press the trigger. A variable speed dial (0-3000 RPM) allows you to set the maximum speed.
• Vergrendelknop: For continuous operation, press the trigger fully and then press the lock-on button. To release, press the trigger again.
• Vooruit/achteruit-schakelaar: Slide the switch to the left for forward rotation (drilling) and to the right for reverse rotation (removing screws or freeing jammed bits). Ensure the drill is stopped before changing direction.

5.2 Selecting Drill Mode (2-in-1 Function)

The hammer drill offers two primary modes: drilling and hammer drilling.

• Boormodus (alleen rotatie): For drilling into wood, metal, plastics, and other materials that do not require impact. Set the hammer action selector to the drill icon.
• Hammer Drill Mode (Rotation with Impact): For drilling into concrete, brick, and masonry. Set the hammer action selector to the hammer icon. Use appropriate masonry drill bits.

5.3 Drilling Tips for Various Materials

Always use the correct drill bit for the material you are working with.

• Hout: Use wood drill bits. Start with a slow speed to prevent splintering, then increase.
• Metaal: Use metal drill bits. Apply cutting oil to cool the bit and material. Start with a pilot hole for larger diameters.
• Concrete/Masonry: Use masonry drill bits and hammer drill mode. Apply steady pressure.
• Kunststoffen: Use wood or metal drill bits. Use low speed to prevent melting or cracking.

6. Onderhoud

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your hammer drill.

6.1 Reinigen

• Haal altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u gaat schoonmaken.
• Use a soft brush or dry cloth to remove dust and debris from the ventilation openings and housing.
• Gebruik geen water of chemische reinigingsmiddelen.

6.2 Vervanging van de koolborstels

The carbon brushes are wear parts and should be checked periodically. Replace them when they are worn down to approximately 1/4 inch (6mm).

3. Unscrew the brush caps using a screwdriver.
4. Verwijder de oude koolborstels.
5. Insert new carbon brushes, ensuring they are seated correctly.
