1. Belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies

Please read all instructions carefully before using the Oster Steam Iron GCSTBS6002. Retain this manual for future reference.

1.1 Algemene veiligheid

• Haal altijd de stekker van het strijkijzer uit het stopcontact wanneer u het vult met water, leegt of wanneer u het strijkijzer niet gebruikt.
• Do not leave the iron unattended while it is connected to a power source or on an ironing board.
• Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children and pets.

1.2 Elektrische veiligheid

• Do not pull the cord to disconnect from the outlet; grasp the plug instead.

2.1 Componenten

3. Instellen en eerste gebruik

3.1 Vóór het eerste gebruik

• Remove any labels, protective film, or stickers from the iron's soleplate.
• It is normal for a slight odor or smoke to occur during the first few minutes of use as manufacturing oils burn off. This is temporary.
• Test the iron on an old piece of fabric to ensure no residue is transferred.

3.2 Het waterreservoir vullen

4. Open the water fill opening cover.
5. Carefully pour tap water into the water tank up to the 'MAX' fill line. Do not overfill.
6. Close the water fill opening cover securely.

4. Gebruiksaanwijzing

4.1 Temperatuurselectie

1. Sluit het strijkijzer aan op een geschikt stopcontact.
2. Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting based on the fabric type. Refer to garment care labels.
3. Laat het strijkijzer opwarmen. Het indicatielampje gaat uit zodra de ingestelde temperatuur is bereikt.

4.2 Droog strijken

• Set the steam control to the 'Dry Ironing' position.
• Selecteer de juiste temperatuur voor uw stof.
• Once heated, iron the garment as usual.

4.3 Stoomstrijken

• Set the temperature control dial to a steam-compatible setting (usually indicated on the dial).
• Once the iron is hot, adjust the steam control selector to the desired steam level (low or high).
• Iron the garment, moving the iron continuously.

4.4 Verticale stoom

• Fill the water tank and set the iron to a high temperature setting.
• Hold the iron vertically, a few inches away from the garment (e.g., hanging clothes, curtains).
• Druk herhaaldelijk op de Steam Shot-knop om stoomstoten te produceren.
• This function is ideal for removing wrinkles from hanging fabrics or refreshing upholstery.

4.5 Sprayfunctie

• Press the Spray Button to emit a fine mist of water onto the fabric.
• This helps to dampen stubborn wrinkles for easier removal.

5. Onderhoud

5.1 De zoolplaat reinigen

• Zorg ervoor dat het strijkijzer uit het stopcontact is en volledig is afgekoeld.
• Veeg de strijkzool af met adamp doek en een niet-schurend schoonmaakmiddel.

5.2 Cleaning the Anti-Calcification System

• The iron features an internal anti-calcification filter. While this reduces mineral buildup, occasional cleaning may be beneficial in hard water areas.

5.3 Opslag

• Haal na gebruik de stekker uit het stopcontact en leeg het resterende water uit het reservoir.
