1. Inleiding

Thank you for choosing the TecTake Offset Hexagonal Umbrella. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new umbrella. Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.

2. Veiligheidsinstructies

• Always ensure the umbrella base is properly weighted and stable. This umbrella requires 4 base plates (40 x 40 cm, 25 kg each) for optimal stability.
• Do not use the umbrella in strong winds, heavy rain, or other severe weather conditions. Close and secure the umbrella to prevent damage or injury.
• Houd kinderen en huisdieren uit de buurt van de paraplu tijdens het openen en sluiten.
• Plaats de paraplu niet in de buurt van open vuur of warmtebronnen.
• Regularly inspect all parts for wear, damage, or loose connections. Do not use if any part is damaged.
• Ensure sufficient clearance around the umbrella when opening and closing to avoid obstructions.

3. Inhoud van het pakket

4. Opstelling en montage

Follow these steps to assemble your TecTake Offset Hexagonal Umbrella:

1. Componenten uitpakken: Haal alle onderdelen voorzichtig uit de verpakking en leg ze op een schoon, vlak oppervlak.
2. Monteer de basis: Connect the base components according to the diagrams in the separate assembly instructions. Ensure all screws are tightened securely.
3. Voeg basisgewichten toe: Place four 40 x 40 cm, 25 kg base plates onto the cross base to provide necessary stability. (Base plates are not included and must be purchased separately).
4. Bevestig de hoofdpaal: Insert the main pole into the assembled base. Secure it with the provided fasteners.
5. Mount the Umbrella Arm: Attach the offset umbrella arm to the main pole. Ensure the connection is firm and stable.
6. Unfold the Canopy: Gently unfold the umbrella canopy.

5. Gebruiksaanwijzing

5.1 De paraplu openen

1. Ensure the area around the umbrella is clear.
2. Locate the crank handle on the main pole.
3. Turn the crank handle clockwise to slowly open the umbrella canopy until it is fully extended. Do not force the crank if resistance is met.

5.2 De kanteling aanpassen

1. Locate the tilt adjustment lever or button on the umbrella arm.
2. Press or release the mechanism and gently adjust the canopy to the desired angle.
3. Ensure the tilt mechanism is securely locked in place after adjustment.

5.3 De paraplu sluiten

1. Ensure the tilt is returned to its neutral position if applicable.
2. Turn the crank handle counter-clockwise to slowly retract the umbrella canopy until it is fully closed.
3. Secure the closed canopy with the integrated strap or tie to prevent it from opening unexpectedly.

6. Verzorging en onderhoud

• Het reinigen van de luifel: Clean the polyester canopy with a mild soap solution and a soft brush or cloth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry completely before folding or storing. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Frameonderhoud: Veeg het gepoedercoate stalen frame af met adamp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Periodically check all screws and bolts for tightness and re-tighten if necessary.
• Beschermhoes: Use the provided protective cover when the umbrella is closed and not in use, especially during periods of inclement weather or storage, to prolong its lifespan.
• Smering: Occasionally apply a silicone-based lubricant to the crank mechanism and moving joints to ensure smooth operation.

7. Opslag

When not in use for extended periods, or during the off-season, store the umbrella in a dry, protected area. Ensure the canopy is clean and completely dry before covering it with the protective cover. Store the umbrella in its closed position.

8. Probleemoplossing

• Umbrella is unstable: Ensure the base is properly assembled and weighted with the recommended base plates. Check that all connections are tight.
• Moeilijkheden bij het openen/sluiten: Check for any obstructions in the canopy or frame. Apply lubricant to the crank mechanism and moving joints if they feel stiff. Do not force the mechanism.
• Canopy not fully extending: Ensure the crank mechanism is fully engaged and there are no obstructions preventing full extension.
