1. Je camera bevestigen
Locate the mounting screw on the top plate of the monopod. This screw is reversible, featuring both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads. To change the thread size, pull the screw upwards and flip it to expose the desired thread. Securely attach your camera or a compatible ball head to this screw by rotating the camera or head clockwise until it is firm. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent accidental detachment.

2. Extending and Collapsing the Monopod Legs
The P-306 monopod features six sections with silicon twist locks. To extend a section, twist the lock counter-clockwise until it loosens, then pull the leg section out to the desired length. Twist the lock clockwise to secure the section firmly in place. Repeat this process for all sections as needed. To collapse, reverse the process: twist counter-clockwise, push the section in, and twist clockwise to lock.

3. Using the Wrist Strap
For added security and to prevent accidental drops, slide your hand through the attached wrist strap. This provides a safety measure, especially when moving or adjusting the monopod with a camera mounted.
4. Deploying the Foot Spike
The monopod includes a retractable foot spike for enhanced stability on soft ground, such as dirt or grass. To deploy the spike, twist the rubber foot at the bottom of the monopod counter-clockwise and pull it down. To retract, push the spike back in and twist the rubber foot clockwise to secure it.
Operating the Monopod
1. Achieving Stability
For optimal stability, hold the monopod firmly with one hand on the padded grip and the other supporting your camera. Position the monopod at a slight angle, leaning it against your body, to create a stable three-point contact (monopod, body, and ground). This technique helps minimize camera shake.

2. Hoogte aanpassen
Adjust the monopod's height by extending or retracting the leg sections using the twist locks. It is often recommended to extend the thicker upper sections first for maximum rigidity, or to leave the thinnest bottom section retracted if full height is not required, to further enhance stability.

Onderhoud
1. Schoonmaken
Wipe down the monopod with a soft, dry cloth after each use, especially if used in dusty, sandy, or wet environments. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish and components.
2. Opslag
Store the monopod in a clean, dry place away from extreme temperatures and humidity. It is advisable to store it in its collapsed state to protect the leg sections.
3. Inspectie
Periodically inspect all twist locks, the mounting plate screw, and the foot spike mechanism for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure all connections are secure before each use.
Probleemoplossing
Leg Sections Not Locking Securely
- Controleer op puin: Dust, sand, or dirt inside the twist lock mechanism can prevent proper locking. Extend the section fully and carefully clean around the lock.
- Ensure Full Engagement: Make sure the twist lock is rotated clockwise until it is firmly tightened. Do not overtighten.
Camera Wobbles on Monopod
- Veilige montage: Verify that your camera or ball head is securely tightened onto the monopod's mounting screw.
- Leg Section Stability: Ensure all extended leg sections are fully locked. Slight looseness in any section can cause instability.
Difficulty Extending or Retracting Leg Sections
- Clean Sections: Dirt or grit can impede smooth movement. Clean the leg sections as described in the Maintenance section.
- Vermijd dwang: Do not force sections. If a section is stuck, try twisting the lock slightly more to loosen it, then gently pull or push.
